PC VS MAC - Which Is Better?
You've probably seen those commercials where the young, hip, floppy-haired smtp streamyx proudly touts that he's streamyx reseller Mac and the older, overweight balding guy says that he's a PC. The first thing you'll notice when looking at the pricing of a Mac streamyx latest promotion is that they are generally more expensive than PCs. Think about it - only one company, Apple, manufactures Macs, right? So they can charge whatever they want, because their customer base has no second option. streamyx basic how many companies make PCs? Exactly. Apple's cheapest laptop, a MacBook, comes in at tmnet streamyx under $1,000. And that's just for the baby of the family! Imagine how much the most expensive one is. Best Buy sells a whole host of laptops for under $600. Sure, they're not the best out there, but when there's such a price gap between a PC and a MacBook, you know something's up.
Plus, one of the best things about PCs is you can have them custom-built so you get exactly what you need in a laptop streamyx update computer without buying anything you really don't need. Macs only come in three flavors: Mac mini, Mac Pro or iMac. That's it. Plus, like I pointed out above, you can switch out motherboards or CPUs and not have to replace anything else - but try that with a Mac, especially when even trying to customize one can invalidate your warranty.
PCs are better if you're planning to use your computer to play games. It's as simple as that - PCs are just better. Plus, most video games don't have Mac versions until months after they're released - and that should tell you something, because even games X-Box and streamyx internet connection run drop the same day. PC users also have the option of easily swapping out graphics cards if they need an upgrade, a process that is way more difficult on a Mac. Plus, for some unfathomable reason, Macs use hardware that is always at least seven months behind. PCs have been able to use draft 802.11n wireless for nearly two years, but Apple has only just acquired it.
Adding insult to injury is the fact that every year, in January, Apple announces its new line of laptops. You get to sit at home with the "old" one that's probably not even out of warranty yet. Apple's support also, frankly, sucks. You get a 90-day warranty that includes telephone support and one year of hardware warranty. You can, of course, buy a 3-year warranty for an extra few hundred dollars. And for a Dell? A 3-year warranty comes standard.
Sure, PCs can't compete with Macs when it comes to actual design - but if you're more worried about design than function, you deserve to drop those extra few thousand dollars so your Mac can look pretty while you try to find things that will actually operate on it.
